Domestic Extension

Many clients have sought to improve their properties and make them more suited to their individual lifestyles. We have undertaken a large number of extensions in the local area.

The first scheme shows improved kitchen facilities including a dining area and a downstairs WC. The second scheme we enlarged and improved an existing detached house adjacent to a conservation area, providing for the client more bedroom and living space together with an integral underground garage.

Barn to Flat Conversion

The scheme involved the conversion of five buildings used as offices into twenty residential units.

To bring the scheme to a successful conclusion involved intense negotiations with the local authority planning officer, conservation officer and various specialists.

Works are currently on site with completion expected mid 2021.

Housing Court

A multiphase development, the first phase being the construction of seven flats on the end of a horse shoe block, to make a courtyard scheme in Art Deco style.

Phase two was to construct an additional floor over and to enhance the Art Deco styling. This phase is illustrated behind.

Phase three is the construction of two three storey houses with garages on the same site in matching architectural styling.

New Build Flats

A residential block of flats on the transition zone between residential and commercial land in Northolt.

In addition The scheme was designed to provide suitable living accommodation adjacent to a noisy railway line and builders yard.

We used the form of the building and the circulation areas to act as an acoustic buffers.

Recycling Centres

As a practice we have designed in excess of twelve recycling centres nationwide for a recycling company who sub-contract to individual local authorities. The recycling plants sort the collected recyclables from local houses for transportation to specialist centres.

All the schemes have been to extremely tight timetables due to the local authority tendering process.

Works have been undertaken in both industrial areas, greenbelt and areas of outstanding natural beauty. They involved intense negotiations with both the planning and building control authorities.
